Love. How does one capture this often elusive yet most desirable
emotion? For several years I pondered that very question. Ever since
I can remember, reading has been my favorite pastime. As a child, I
cherished every book ever presented me. My hungry eyes devoured
every word and turn of phrase. From the fairy tales that I penned
for classmates over the span of several recesses, to the suspenseful
romantic tales I wrote while in high school and college, I knew one
day I'd embark on a career writing romance fiction. Where are all
those journals and loose sheets containing my earliest prose and
plots? Few have survived, but the subjects and events from which
those stories were culled remain vivid in my memory.
Studious was the term used to describe my penchant for putting
schoolwork above play. But when I played, I created mystical worlds
and enchanting skits for my friends. During those pre-adolescent
days, we embarked on many journeys together, all filled with
fictional characters and seemingly unattainable goals. Those days of
child's play proved a perfect training ground for my future as a
full-time writer. Let it never be said serious-minded Kimberly ever
wasted time on things that wouldn't reap some reward or benefit
someday.
One day, when I least expected, the first glimmer of my own
happily-ever-after presented. A misdiagnosis of cancer was cast upon
me, but I didn't know that at the time. My new boyfriend stuck by me
and promised nothing would ruin the happiness we were destined to
share. He was right and we're still together today, married and more
in love with each passing day.
Love is all around us. It evokes all of our senses and stirs us to
our very souls. Join me in a world where fictional characters
experience much the same ups and down as you and me. Gentle as a
spring breeze, or powerful as a summer storm, my romances will grip
and guide you with the turn of each page.
THE END-- she says...for now ;)
